PeccadilloPOD is a DVD shop and place to watch films online, also known as VoD (Video on Demand), which enables you to stream and download film content. This service is provided through our download partner filmedmedia.
Rental service is available for 5 days from the day you activate the film to watch online. You may watch it as many times as you like during this period. After 5 days the license will automatically expire and the film will cease to play.
In order to view our VoD content we recommend a broadband connection of at least 2Mbps. The service will work with slower connections however download times may be excessive. Our VoD service is only valid for UK and Ireland, any other countries WILL NOT be able to view the films downloaded and no refunds will be issued
Our service is compatible with Windows and Mac computers, however the service varies between the platforms. To benefit from all versions of our service we recommend using a windows pc with at least 512MB of ram and a broadband speed of at least 2Mbps for progressive play.

In order to play Windows Media or DivX movies you will need to download our license manager, which will be available later in the year.
For Mac users we are only able to offer our Flash content delivery method. You will need flash 10 or greater. We are currently in the process of developing a Mac license manager enabling Mac users to watch films in DivX format. We hope to have this completed later this year.
We are currently working closely with filmed media to develop an app that will enable Smartphone users to view the content, do bear with us
If both your devices (Computer and TV) have HDMI capabilities, connect the HDMI cable and this will give you the best sound and picture quality.

Locate the VGA port on the back of your television and the VGA port on your computer. These are large sockets with many holes to accommodate the multiple pins and connect both device with the cable.

Download to rent (Coming Soon)
Films on rental are available in progressive downloads which means you can start watching them straight away, or you can choose to download for later viewing (Windows Media and DivX only). Once downloaded, the film will be available to view on your hard drive for 5 days from the date of purchase (Windows Media and DivX only).
During those 5 days you can watch the film as many times as you like, but at the end of that period - the file will expire and will no longer be active. We recommend that you then delete the file from your hard drive to free up disc space. Mac users can watch our films in our flash player for 5 days after purchasing a viewing license.
Download to own (Coming Soon)
Once downloaded the film is yours, you own it. You can watch it as often as you like from your pc. Instant playback is not available on Download to Own
No at the moment this is not possible.
You can download Windows Media/DivX films to any Windows PC by visiting My Account (License manager required on each device).
Flash movies can also be played from any device.
If you can't find your movie please login to your account and either download it again or watch it in the flash player.
Films in flash mode that are longer than 120mins are currently not supported by firefox, if you encounter this please re login via Internet Explorer, Chrome or Safari.

The download speed depends on your Internet connection. The quicker your connection, the faster the download.
Once downloaded, the film will be available to view for 5 days from the date of purchase.
